Twitter has announced that its 'Verification for Organizations' feature is now available worldwide. This news was shared through the company's Twitter Verified handle. The new feature will enable vetted organizations to verify accounts affiliated or associated with them.
According to Twitter, the Verified Organizations feature is a new way for companies and their affiliates to distinguish themselves on the microblogging site. With this feature, vetted organizations will have complete control over vetting and verifying accounts associated with them.
Instead of relying on Twitter to be the sole arbiter of truth for verified accounts, organizations that sign up for Verified Organizations will be in charge of vetting and verifying accounts they are affiliated with. The company made this announcement through its tweet, stating that the organizations will have complete control over the verification process.

Twitter has also stated that accounts affiliated with the organization will receive an affiliate badge on their profile with the parent company's logo. They will also be featured on the organization's Twitter profile to indicate their affiliation with the parent company. Twitter has made it clear that all organizations will be vetted before joining Verified Organizations.
The platform has shared the URL for companies, nonprofits, governments, and multilateral organizations worldwide to join the waitlist to access the feature. Additionally, Twitter will be sending email invitations to approved organizations from the waitlist to join the feature.
Twitter is already witnessing organizations such as sports teams, news organizations, financial firms, Fortune 500 companies, and nonprofits joining Verified Organizations and listing their affiliated accounts publicly on their profiles.
